Lake Logan is a perfect end of summer vacation for a couple or family looking for one last hurrah. At the end of July or early August, the summer sun has had plenty of time to heat up the lake water making it a wonderful temperature and destination for all sorts of water activities. Located within the rolling hills of the Appalachian foothills of southeastern Ohio, this stunning location, just 25 minutes from the Carpenter's Cabin, Twelve34 House, and GloCabin, is a great place to spend a day outdoors, no matter the season. Read on to discover the many activites at Lake Logan!

The lake itself offers 400 acres for boating, sailing and paddling. Boats with motors up to 10 horsepower are permitted on the lake. A 10mph speed limit is enforced. Paddle-boats, pontoon boats, kayaks and canoes are available to rent near the swimming beach.

Lake Logan has a 527 foot sandy beach front area that is perfect for families wanting to relax, build sand castles, or splash and play in water that gets only very gradually deeper. There’s also plenty of room for anyone wanting to swim for exercise or recreation. The free swimming beach does not have a lifeguard on duty so be prepared to closely supervise young children or those who cannot swim. There are life vests available to rent at a small shelter house on the beach. This same shelter house is where you can procure kayaks, canoes and paddle-boats.
Around the beach area, picnic tables and grills are scattered for visitors’ use. There are bathrooms located here, too.
A sensory-friendly and accessible playground with features like a treehouse, swings, and musical instruments is available. A wheelchair-accessible parking lot is also available.

Fishing is permitted with a fishing license. There are plenty of bluegill, crappie, bass, muskie, and catfish to catch! Checkout the fishing locations around the lake on this map, and find information about fishing licenses here.
A 1.25 mile stretch of the popular Buckeye Trail runs through the northwest end of the park. You can learn more about the 1,440-mile Buckey Trail here.
Planning to bring your boat during your stay with us? Boats on trailers are welcome at both GloCabin and Twelve34 House, however, the driveway access at the Carpenter's Cabin could have difficulty making the turn off the main road.
Lake Logan is a beautiful, relaxing and FREE state park. If you and your loved ones love nature, and especially water, it is well worth a visit before the summer’s end!
