FAQs

You Probably Have Questions. We Likely Have Answers.

What is the difference between Carpenter’s Cabin, Twelve34 House, and GloCabin?

Each cabin offers a distinct experience. Carpenter’s Cabin is ideal for families and groups, designed for connection and shared time—morning coffee on the deck, evenings gathered around the firepit or conversation pit. Twelve34 House leans into modern, elevated luxury with floor-to-ceiling windows and a slower, more refined pace. GloCabin is intimate and immersive, tucked into the ravine, where sunrise pours through the windows and the outside world gets quiet. All three share the same thoughtful design, privacy, and attention to detail.

Can I book all three cabins together?

Yes—you can book all three as a private, 32-acre micro-resort in Hocking Hills. It’s ideal for extended families or retreats, where you can gather for meals or fireside evenings, then retreat to your own quiet space at the end of the night.

What makes Eco-Luxe Vacations different from other cabins?

We design and manage everything ourselves, and it shows in both how the spaces look and how they feel. Each cabin is built with sustainability in mind, incorporating toxin-free and organic materials wherever possible—from the finishes to the linens and body products—so your environment feels as good as it looks.

Beyond that, every detail is considered through the lens of how people actually relax. The result is a stay that feels elevated but never overdone, intentional without being complicated, and quietly supportive of the kind of reset most guests come here for.

Are the cabins private and secluded?

Yes. Each cabin is positioned to offer a true sense of privacy, surrounded by trees and rolling terrain. You’ll hear birds, wind through the pines, and not much else. Twelve34 House & GloCabin are next door to each other, but are situated for privacy.

Do you have WiFi, and is it reliable?

We do have WiFi, and many guests use it to check in with work when needed. That said, most people find themselves closing the laptop sooner than planned and spending more time outside or in the hot tub under the trees.

What is included in the stay?

Each cabin is fully stocked with high-quality linens, a well-equipped kitchen, coffee essentials, and thoughtfully chosen amenities. Hot tubs are ready, outdoor spaces are set, and everything is prepared so you can arrive, set your bags down, and exhale.

What is your cancellation policy?

Plans change—we understand that. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while also protecting the time we’ve reserved just for you. Guests booking cabins individually receive a 95% refund if cancellation occurs at least 30 days before check-in, a 45% refund if cancellation occurs 14-29 days before arrival.

For our Micro-Resort option, the guest receives a full refund, minus a $100 cancellation fee if cancellation occurs at least 180 days before arrival. Guest receives 50% refund, minus a $100 cancellation fee, if cancellation occurs 179-60 days before arrival.

Because unforeseen things happen, we highly recommend the travel insurance offered at booking.

Do you offer any discounts or promotions?

Occasionally, we offer select promotions—especially for midweek stays when the pace is even slower and the trails feel more like your own. Joining our email list is the best way to hear about those first.

Last-minute availability is a great way to score savings, with no code required.

What kind of experience can I expect during my stay?

Most guests arrive thinking they just need a break. They leave realizing how much they actually needed to slow down. Mornings are quiet, the coffee tastes better, and the day unfolds without urgency. Most of our guests wish they'd booked an extra night.

Do you offer add-on experiences?

Yes. Guests can elevate their stay with private chef dinners, wellness experiences like yoga or massage, local bakery items, or local adventures through partners like Ad Pro Outdoors. Whether it’s an in-cabin dinner or a day outdoors, it’s easy to shape the stay into something memorable. These options are sent via text about 13 days before check-in.

Which cabin is best for families?

Carpenter’s Cabin is the best fit for families, with space to gather, spread out, and actually enjoy time together—whether that’s games at the table, time on the deck, or evenings by the fire.

Families traveling with older teens may appreciate our design-forward Twelve34 House.

Are your cabins good for couples or solo travelers?

Very much so. Twelve34 House and GloCabin are especially popular for romantic getaways, while GloCabin is a favorite for solo stays—quiet, tucked away, and easy to settle into your own rhythm. But don't discount our Carpenter's Cabin, cozy enough for two, with plenty of unique spaces to explore inside.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is after 4:00 pm EST, and check-out is by 11:00 am EST. Additional details are provided about 3-5 days before your stay, with everything you need for a smooth arrival. The goal is simple: no confusion, no stress—just arrive and enjoy.

Will we receive instructions before arrival?

Yes. You’ll receive clear directions, access details, and everything you need ahead of time so you can pull in, get settled, and start your stay without delay.

Who manages the cabins?

We do—personally. From design to guest communication, nothing is handed off to a third party. It’s a hands-on approach, and it’s a big part of why guests feel taken care of from start to finish. Most of the time, you'll be engaging with Jami, but our daughter, Meg, jumps in to assist from time to time.

Is it worth the price?

We understand that booking a stay like this is an investment, and most guests have that same question before they book.

What they often tell us afterward is that it wasn’t just the cabin—it was how easy everything felt once they arrived. The spaces are designed to work the way people actually live and relax, so there’s no friction, no figuring things out. Just time together, quiet mornings, and a pace that feels different from everyday life.

It’s not the right fit for everyone—but for those looking for a more thoughtful, elevated experience, it tends to be exactly what they were hoping for.

Why do guests choose Eco-Luxe Vacations over other cabins?

Guests usually choose us because they’re looking for something that feels a little more intentional.

Each cabin is designed and managed by us personally, with a focus on how the space feels as much as how it looks. From the layout to the small details, everything is created to help you settle in quickly and enjoy your time without distraction.

There are many great places to stay in Hocking Hills—we simply aim to offer one that feels a bit more considered, a bit more comfortable, and a little harder to leave.
